The Bennett Family's Flock: A Journey into Lleyn Sheep
The Bennett family began their journey into sheep farming in 2022 with the decision to rent a small plot of land—just about an acre. After registering with the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), obtaining their Temporary Land Associations (TLA) and County Parish Holdings (CPH) numbers, and acquiring a trailer, they set off to collect their first sheep: three pet lambs from a local farm. These Texel/Mule crosses were quickly and affectionately named Cauliflower, Oreo, and Mia.
Soon after, they added eight Greyface Dartmoor cross ewes to their budding flock. Over time, they experimented with a variety of breeds including Texel, Aberblack, Charolais, and Gritstone. But it was the Lleyn sheep that truly captured their hearts.
With that decision made, they attended a pedigree ram sale and purchased their first tup—a fine example from a strong bloodline. This ram was later joined by two more, along with 32 Lleyn ewes sourced from a reputable breeder.
Their first lambing season coincided with one of the worst seasons for the wider farming community, marked by relentless rain and waterlogged pastures. Despite the biblical weather, the Bennetts powered through, learning valuable lessons as they went, driven by determination and a deepening love for their flock.
Now the family graze over 30 acres with an established bloodline producing lovely quality sheep whilst supply the restaurant industry with succulent and tasty lamb.

Hormone-Free, Naturally Raised Sheep
Our sheep are raised 100% hormone-free, just as nature intended. We believe in producing meat and wool you can trust, which is why we never use growth hormones or artificial additives in our flock. Instead, our sheep grow at a natural pace on open pasture, with access to clean water, fresh air, and a healthy, stress-free environment. This commitment not only ensures the wellbeing of our animals but also results in high-quality, ethically raised products that are better for you and the planet.

100% Grass-Fed Sheep
Our sheep are raised on a natural, grass-fed diet, grazing freely on lush, nutrient-rich pastures. This approach supports their health and wellbeing while also producing lean, flavorful meat and high-quality wool. By allowing our flock to feed the way nature intended, we avoid the need for grain-based feeds or artificial supplements. Grass-fed farming not only enhances the nutritional value of our products but also promotes soil health, biodiversity, and a more sustainable agricultural system. It’s better for the animals, better for the land, and better for you.
